Van Cleef And Arpels Launches Limited Edition Vintage Alhambra Pendant

The Alhambra pendant, first launched in 1968 has grown to become a signature of Van Cleef and Arpels. The clove-shaped pendant which is a symbol of luck, health, fortune and love has been cherished for over four decades. The Alhambra was first introduced to the world as long plain yellow necklace. Today the house has designed various versions of this iconic necklace as well as incorporated the design into a number of products.

This festive season, Van Cleef and Arpels is back with another limited edition version of the vintage pendant. The maison is renewing its partnership with the illustrious Manufacture nationale de Sèvres, on a pendant that blends Celestial Blue porcelain with yellow gold. The Sèvres blue porcelain was created by the manufacturer 250 years ago. The glistening porcelain is made from natural materials and pigments which is then hand-dyed by skilled craftsmen. While the turquoise blue perfectly contrasts the gold tones, a delicate round diamond sits at the center of the motif, giving the pendant a mystical look.
