A look at Vacheron Constantin’s Traditionnelle Moon Phase & Manual-Winding 270th anniversary editions

In celebration of its 270th anniversary, Vacheron Constantin has revealed two limited editions of its Traditionnelle Moon Phase and Traditionnelle Manual-Winding timepieces.

A celebration of the Swiss brand’s goldsmithing legacy, the watches speak of timeless haute horlogerie but with a sharp contemporary twist for the modern woman.

Traditionnelle Moon Phase

The Traditionnelle Moon Phase is beautiful in both its aesthetic elegance and its astronomical accuracy. With a pink gold case set in 80 brilliant-cut diamonds measuring 36mm, the watch also contains a mother-of-pearl face that glows and bears the Maltese Cross along with an astronomical moon phase display.

Its centrepiece, the manufacture Calibre 1410 AS/270, is an ultra-precise moon-phase mechanism that only requires adjustment once every 122 years. Adding in quiet seconds at 6 o’clock, along with 38 hours of power reserve, rounds out the functions. The finishing on the movement, ‘côte unique’ which was rediscovered in 2021, is on the sapphire caseback.

Traditionnelle Manual-Winding

The feminine 33mm diamond-set pink gold case of the Traditionnelle Manual-Winding houses Vacheron Constantin’s Calibre 1440/270, which was developed and crafted in-house. Limited to just 270 pieces, the watch boasts a 42-hour power reserve and a remarkably slim and elegant profile at just 2.6 mm thick.

Adorned with the ‘côte unique’ finish, the calibre is paired with a beautiful mother-of-pearl dial featuring a delicate Maltese cross-inspired motif created especially for the 270th anniversary. The dial and the alligator strap have a soft pink hue, which speaks to women.
