Coveted Emirati architect and designer Abdalla Almulla is the creative force behind Esproses, a new café and floral boutique concept in Al Ain. Attuned to Abdalla’s signature aesthetic vocabulary that nods to sculptural design, the space features clean lines and arches, which have long been an icon of Arabic architecture.

Esproses, which is a combination of the words, ‘espresso’ and ‘roses’, is decorated with contemporary furnishings by Spanish furniture brand Sancal, Cape Town’s Haldane Martin and Dubai-based multibrand store NextSpace. Also dressing the space are statement pieces like a sculptural petal-inspired lighting installation and an artwork by Emirati designer Latifa Saeed, which features sand from the seven Emirates between glass panels.

The café includes two areas, one that’s dedicated to a floral boutique, and the other that features an intimate lounge setting, flecked with plush seating in an earthy palette paired with rose gold.
