It’s happening. Luxury French brand Hermès, is launching Hermès Beauty, an exclusive range that will be dedicated to make-up products. According to Wall Street Journal, the brand’s first collection will be Rouge Hermès, a line of 24 lipstick shades inspired by iconic creations, including the Birkin bag and silk scarves, that have been rolled out over the last 183 years.

The lipstick collection will feature colors drawn from an archive of an impressive 75,000 silk swatches and packaging made using the same metals that adorn the maison’s handbags. Available in matte and silk finishes, the lipsticks will be lightly custom-scented by the brand’s perfumer Christine Nagel. What’s more? Hermès is also planning on releasing foundations and eye and cheek colors in the near future. In the meanwhile, you can expect the lipstick collection to hit the stores in March this year. Can’t wait.
