After traveling to some of the world’s major cities, the Chanel Cruise 2021-22 collection is coming to Dubai. The ready-to-wear line will be presented at an undisclosed location on Tuesday, 2 November. Designed by creative director Virginie Viard, the pieces were first revealed through a digital presentation past May, leaving a mark with their reference to poet Jean Cocteau’s 1960 film The Testament of Orpheus.

The collection was first showcased against the backdrop of Carrières de Lumières in the Les Baux-de-Provence village of South of France and features primarily black-and-white pieces in Chanel’s signature style with a nod to rock-and-roll sensibilities. Gabrielle Coco Chanel was the first designer to create cruise collections at the end of the 1910s, putting the concept on the fashion map in the early noughties.
