Boucheron has unveiled the Serpent Bohème Vintage collection – an iconic piece reimagined

In 1968, Boucheron introduced a design that would become an enduring iconic of the Maison, the Serpent Bohème. Inspired by the shape of a teardrop, this motif embodies the essence of craftsmanship, with skilled artisans meticulously sculpting gold to mimic the texture of a serpent’s scales. Over the years, Serpent Bohème has evolved while maintaining its signature elegant look.

One of the collection’s most remarkable pieces emerged in 1974 — a Serpent Bohème sautoir necklace crafted with cabochon-cut onyx and coral. Featuring a circular floral pendant composed of the iconic drop motifs, it was a bold statement of its time. Recognizing its timeless appeal, Boucheron’s Creative Director, Claire Choisne, has reinterpreted this historical design for a modern audience, infusing it with a contemporary edge.

Fast forward to 2025, and Boucheron unveils the Serpent Bohème Vintage collection. The original chain links have been refined, and brilliant-cut diamonds now replace the coloured stones, lending a sleek, sophisticated look. With sharper, more dynamic contours, the collection introduces oversized statement pieces designed for versatility. Among the standout creations are high jewellery necklaces that transform into multiple accessories, from chokers to bracelets and brooches.

The collection’s centrepiece, a diamond-paved cuff bracelet in yellow gold, echoes the vintage aesthetic while embracing modern craftsmanship. Complementing this are a striking double-finger ring and hoop earrings in both yellow and white gold, along with new link-inspired designs. Each piece highlights Boucheron’s expertise in goldsmithing.

To mark the launch, Boucheron’s campaign channels the energy of the 1970s. In addition to the Vintage line, the brand expands the Serpent Bohème universe with new pieces, including ankle chains, jewellery watches, and a Solarité bracelet — each with the collection’s signature drop motif.
