Hermès has reimagined its signature Agar Ébène fragrance in a beautiful limited-edition bottle dedicated to Middle Eastern culture. Created by Christine Nagel in 2018 for the Hermessence collection, the scent — featuring agar wood with notes of balsam fir — is now encased in the emotive verse of Emirati writer, Rashid Al Khadar. Engraved with 24-karat gold leaf, the poem exquisitely unfurls onto the bottle in calligraphy by Mohammed Mandi Al Tamimi, the artist whose text adorns the qibla wall inside the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
