This week is all about haute couture and who better to talk about than the king of couture himself – Michael Cinco. Couturiers are the masters of dressmaking, who invest days into creating bespoke pieces with intricate detailing and unique fabrics.
Michael is known as one of the most famous haute couture designers in the world. He has dressed every A-list celebrity you can think of – Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rihanna, and more.
I actually wore a dress by Michael and he later sent it to Jennifer Lopez, so I wore it first (hehe!).
His style is unique and his work is impeccable. I got to know Michael 14 years ago. He dressed me for the Dubai International Film Festival and the rest is history. We became best friends and he has dressed me for several red carpet events around the world.
Michael is a visionary, a creative mind and a beautiful soul. He’s so genuine and has a great sense of humor. He always dresses in black and wears the biggest sunglasses you’d ever see. Interestingly, many people have never seen him without them.

Shanghai Me is a fairly new restaurant in Dubai. I went there for the first time on Thursday night with two friends of mine. I have to say that by far, it’s the best Asian fine dining experience t hat I’ve had in Dubai. Shanghai Me was founded in Shanghai in the 1930s. The ambiance, interiors, service and music were exceptional. I highly recommend it.
