Hello 2021, Here’s A Letter From The Heart

Hi everyone. I hope you enjoyed the holidays.

We all know that 2020 was a difficult year for everyone around the world. Somehow it felt like we were part of a scary movie. COVID-19 took over the world, the economy almost crashed, people lost their lives and hit bankruptcy.

Children couldn’t see their parents and grandparents amidst the pandemic. And no one has been able to socialize like before. We couldn’t hug or kiss our loved ones. People felt like prisoners in their own homes. We lived in fear – fear of losing someone we love.

I think this was a wake-up call for the world as it seemed like life had become robotic. The sense of humbleness and kindness were at risk. Humans had started living with so much hatred and anger towards each other and animals. Suddenly, we were all facing the same problem and I think for the first time in decades, the world has united. I strongly believe COVID-19 brought us all together.

We should never take anything for granted in life. We never know what tomorrow will bring. Life is way too short for wasting it on small issues. Two days ago, I nearly lost my life due to an anaphylactic shock. Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction to venom, food and medication. I then realized how in a heartbeat all your blessings can be taken away from you. After my daughter was born, my whole’s life perspective changed. All you need in life is a loving family and few sincere friends.

I decided that my New Years resolution will be to stop complaining about the small things in life and realized how blessed we are that we have a roof over our heads, food on our tables, clothes to wear, and a lifestyle that only a small percentage of the global population has. Sometimes we forget to count our blessings.

I wish that 2021 will be a year filled with love, kindness, sincerity, prosperity, giving and happiness for all of us.

On a separate note, there’s no harm in ringing in the new year with a few timeless pieces that become fixtures in your closet. Happy happy New Year to all of my beautiful readers. I love you from the bottom of my heart and can’t wait to share my 2021 journey with you.

Xoxo
