Photography was always an extension of my work before I made it my full-time career. I graduated with a product design degree in New York City and was recognized for my work by the Museum of Modern Art and several design exhibitions around the world. Working with some of my favorite designers in the industry, including Ralph Lauren, and coming from a family of artists, helped me develop an eye for color and composition.

Visual storytelling and lifestyle photography are a constant in my travels, as I love documenting and sharing snippets from my journey. With Instagram, I saw an opportunity to share these visual stories and began collaborating with brands, such as Google. I built upon product photography over the years, which allowed me to create a brand around travel that you can experience on my Instagram account @Ananewyork.

Following the COVID-19 outbreak, it seems like travel won’t be the same in the years to come. People may prefer to explore local attractions, and it’ll be more meaningful to travel, since it won’t be as easy as it used to be. But travel will be back; the world will be waiting to be discovered, just where we left if off. What’s great is that we’ll all be more conscious towards our environment. Being at home will allow us to think of travel in a more thoughtful and responsible way.

In the first of this six-part series, I take you on a virtual tour of one of the top destinations that should be on your post-pandemic travel list.
I visited London almost every month last year for shoots and I fell in love with it all over again. Its flower displays are so unique in comparison with what I’ve seen in other cities during my travels. Every season has its own charm and offers the best canvas for product and lifestyle photography.
The restaurant scene is amazing and has evolved over the last 10 years; lots of great new spots have opened up and the hotels I’ve had the pleasure of working with are spectacular in all aspects. If you enjoy good food, stunning flower installations and rich history and architecture, then this is the city that’s summoning you to come and fall back in love with it.
