The grand opening of Delano Dubai marked a new chapter for the Miami-born hospitality brand. Serenely situated along the pristine shores of Bluewaters Dubai, the resort balances the city’s dynamic skyline with the natural beauty of the Arabian Gulf.
Inspired by the brand’s former Miami hotspot, the Delano Dubai is ‘quiet luxury’ in design with 251 elegantly designed rooms, including 84 large suites. With playful refinement at the heart of the property’s beating heart (it’s maintained a healthy rhythm of guests since it opened) the property is spacious and offers guests a truly classy experience.
Designed by Elastic Architects in collaboration with SA Consultants, La Bottega Interiors, and Ennismore’s in-house team, Delano Dubai blends Miami’s distinct style with Dubai’s contemporary luxury. Walking in, the entrance, enveloped by manicured greenery, welcomes guests and leads them into a minimalistic space with dark timber flooring. Reflective artwork and delicate architectural lighting enhance the hotel’s naturally soothing ambience.
Expertly crafted with rejuvenation in mind thoughtful design elements, such as fluted oversized headboards, custom wool rugs, and boucle-clad seating, mean there’s a calming feel in each of the large spaces. Each room also has a secluded terrace or balcony with views over the Arabian Gulf or the resort’s lush gardens. Luxury amenities include Byredo bath products and Dyson hair dryers, with daily surprises left in the room each day.
The epitome of ultra-luxury, the five-bedroom Delano Penthouse spans the resort’s entire seventh floor and even has its own infinity pool on the terrace. Designed for those who have a preference for privacy, the space has a seperate elevator entrance, a stately corridor lined with polished stone columns, along an opulent living and dining space which is perfect for entertaining.
Delano Dubai has seven unique dining concepts. Beside the beach, there’s Blue Door, which has been reimagined from the famed restaurant at the resort in Miami. Another classic from South Beach joining the line-up is Rose Bar which serves drinks and snacks. Tutto Passa transports guests to the Amalfi Coast with fresh, coastal Italian flavours served in a laid-back yet elegant atmosphere. While Maison Revka brings the charm of Paris Society’s concept to Dubai, fusing French sophistication with Slavic soul. For those seeking a vibrant atmosphere, La Cantine Beach delivers Mediterranean-inspired cuisine in a lively beachfront venue, complemented by a dedicated sports club. Meanwhile, Gohan elevates Japanese dining with an upscale yet relaxed beachfront setting.
Situated at the heart of the resort, the Delano Pool features the brand’s signature sunken seating and a beautiful design framed by whimsical umbrellas and lush greenery. This iconic space serves as both a serene retreat and a lively social hub, much like the original iteration in Florida.
Situated on an island, Delano Dubai is afforded all the benefits of island living (including 250 metres of private beachfront) without a complicated journey to get there. Just a short drive from Dubai International Airport and Downtown Dubai, Bluewaters Dubai is easily accessible by taxi. The vibrant lifestyle destination by Dubai Holding also plays home to attractions and entertainment options for those looking to explore the surrounding area. Plus, overlooking the Arabian Gulf and Dubai’s skyline, the resort offers convenient access to Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah.
