The UN Youth Office has announced that Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser has joined the Distinguished Judges Panel for the 2025 Class of Young Leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This new appointment highlights Her Highness’s dedication to advancing education and empowering youth across the globe. The announcement of the 2025 Young Leaders is set to take place in September, during the General Assembly week.
Her Highness Sheikha Moza is not merely a regional figure working to improve education for the people of Qatar; she is a global leader and advocate. She works closely with the United Nations to support global education and other key areas of development for marginalised children and youth, through her role as a Sustainable Development Goals Advocate and other prominent positions within the UN.
For decades, Her Highness Sheikha Moza, Chairperson of the Education Above All Foundation, has worked tirelessly, spearheading social and educational reforms in Qatar and across the globe.
In response to growing global needs, she has launched numerous initiatives to foster development and stability for a better future. These include Education Above All, which provides quality education to out-of-school children and empowers marginalised youth socially and economically, and the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, which champions quality education, innovation, research, and social progress.

Sheikha Moza is a longstanding advocate and champion for education, youth, and children. In 2007, she proposed World Autism Awareness Day, and in 2020, she introduced the resolution to designate 9 September as the International Day to Protect Education from Attack, which was subsequently adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.
