Naomi Osaka doesn’t just play tennis; she often uses the court as a canvas for self-expression, storytelling, and high fashion. From avant-garde collaborations to powerful cultural nods, Osaka’s match kits often evoke conversations.
Here are four times she has us admiring not just her skills, but also her style.

US Open 2024
The look, designed in collaboration with Yoon Ahn of Ambush and Nike, features a vibrant green tennis dress layered over a ruffled tulle tutu, paired with a sheer white jacket featuring an oversized bow on the back. It brought a playful, ultra-feminine aesthetic to grand slam tennis.

The French Open 2026
The custom kit created in collaboration with Nike and eco-couturier Kevin Germanier features a corset structure over a voluminous, cascading skirt. She shed the outer layer before the warm-ups to reveal a metallic, gold tennis dress embellished with sequined striping.

The Australian Open 2026
Robert Wun and Nike came together to create a jellyfish and water-inspired ensemble. The full walk-on look featured a dramatic white wide-brim hat with a delicate veil, a matching parasol, and layered pleated palazzo-style pants under a ruffled mini dress. The butterfly embellishment fixed to her hat was a direct tribute to her famous 2021 Australian Open match, where a butterfly landed on her face mid-game.

Wimbledon 2026
Created by Tokyo-based designer Hana Yagi in collaboration with stylist Marty Harper and Nike, the walk-on gown honoured Osaka’s Japanese heritage while respecting Wimbledon’s all-white dress code. The look features delicate embroidery of cherry blossoms and cranes, held together at the waist with an oversized obi belt that extends into a long train. The high-neck kimono and tiered skirt were fully detachable, revealing a Nike tennis dress underneath.
Osaka has proven time and again that tennis gear doesn’t have to follow a formula. Through her walk-out looks, she uses her platform to spark conversations, celebrate culture and reimagine athletic style.
