The essence of Ramadan is the warmth of your family around the table, and Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan have long honoured that with an annual iftar that gathers the entire royal family together.
In keeping with a royal custom, Their Majesties hosted the annual royal family iftar at Al-Husseiniya Palace in Amman, bringing together their family to break fast and mark the holy month.
Known for making an entrance, Queen Rania stepped out as lovely as always in a red kaftan cinched with a bronze belt from Dubai-based label Bouguessa and gave her Instagram followers a glimpse into the special family gathering. She captioned the post, “May this holy month fill our homes with the warmth of family and loved ones. Ramadan Mubarak to all.”

For her Ramadan look, Princess Rajwa turned to her Saudi roots, choosing the Art of Heritage Foundation for a stunning Najdi-embroidered thoub. Her husband, Crown Prince Al Hussein, posted a photo on his Instagram of their arrival, looking lovely as always: “With Rajwa during the family iftar this evening. Wishing you all a blessed Ramadan 🌙,” he shared.

Princess Iman bint Abdullah II of Jordan and her husband, Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, also joined the family iftar. The princess was elegant in a deep blue velvet thoub adorned with intricate embroidery.

Their Majesties also took the opportunity, with the whole family gathered, to celebrate the most senior member of the royal family, HRH Prince Raad bin Zeid, the nephew of Jordan’s founding monarch, King Abdullah I.
