Meet the UAE Female Athletes Shaping the Next Olympic Generation

In the UAE, a new chapter in the country’s sporting scene is unfolding, as female athletes make history and reach new heights that fill the nation with pride. A new generation is emerging, driven by love for their country and inspired by their leader’s motto: “Nothing is impossible.”

Maryam Al Farsi

Maryam Al Farsi has set the bar high, becoming the first Emirati sprinter to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics at just 16. Juggling her academics alongside training for the Los Angeles Olympics. Her motto works hard, dream big, be patient, and stay active, guides her every step. We can’t wait to see her achieve even more and continue making her country proud.

Safiya Al Sayegh

Continuing to write a new chapter in UAE sports, Safiya made history as the first Emirati cyclist to qualify for the 2024 Olympics. Her career took off in 2022, when she became the first Emirati woman to join a World Tour Pro team. Since then, she has ridden professionally with UAE Team ADQ, building a career that continues to grow from strength to strength. We look forward to seeing her represent the UAE at the next Olympics.

Amenah Al Muhairi

Amenah Al Muhairi

For Amenah, the sky has no limits and not even snow can slow her down. At just 15, she competed at the 2024 Youth Winter Olympics, becoming the first Emirati snowboarder to represent the UAE. In 2025, she went on to win three golds, a silver, and a bronze at FIS competitions. Her dream is to represent her country once again at the next Winter Olympics and make the nation proud.
