Paris Fashion Week has officially come to a close with a brilliant showcase by Louis Vuitton at the Louvre. On Tuesday, Artistic Director Nicholas Ghesquière presented a collection exploring “Egronomie”, where design is fundamentally shaped by the conditions, capabilities, and movement of the human body, bringing the Paris season to a light, futuristic finish.

The show took place at the Cour Carrée of the Louvre, where the historic stone courtyard was transformed into a racetrack with a surreal, retro-futuristic vibe. With cars suspended in the air and a colour palette of green, grey, and yellow, the set stood in stark contrast to the classical architecture.

Across the collection, the clothes were fluid, light, and designed around movement. Translucent dresses, soft jackets, relaxed wide trousers, and elongated coats moved with the models as they walked down the runway. Ghesquière replaced rigid structure with relaxed tailoring in order to not restrict the body. Fabrications followed the same ultralight theme, with composite chiffon, carré silks, and scarf fabrics in silk and cashmere used across the garments.

Midway through the collection, leather biker jackets appeared in camel and yellow colours, alongside driving jackets. Some jackets also featured flowy sleeves and side slits on trousers, suggesting more air flow and movement.

The bags on the runway carried a minimal, laid-back aesthetic with smaller and simpler silhouettes replacing oversized staples. The colour palette was led by cream and lemon, with black, burgundy, and camel appearing in flashes. The iconic LV monogram appeared limited to a few pieces, including bags and a bomber jacket.

Footwear grounded the flowing silhouettes with statement mules, comfortable boots, and heels, bringing a polished yet practical contrast to the runway.

The front row was as memorable as the runway itself, with stars like Zendaya, Emma Stone, Saoirse Ronan, Sophie Turner, Jennifer Connelly, Ana de Armas, and Jaden Smith joining the guest list.
