During the opening ceremony, Her Highness Princess Noura bint Faisal Al-Saud, general manager of ecosystem integration and program delivery at the Saudi Fashion Commission, said that the initiative was a true reflection of the commission’s objectives. At the event, local and global experts discussed contemplative topics, such as diversity, innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability in fashion.

Celebrating a critical tipping point in the Kingdom’s history, the event offered the Saudi 100 Brands program, which received more than 1,400 applications and aimed at supporting aspiring local women who wish to reach leadership roles in the fashion sector.

Fashion Futures, which ran until 11 December, saw a joyous coming together of like-minded individuals, including Arizona Muse, a model and sustainability consultant, Thana Al-Harbi, co-founder of Coded Nation, and Jordana Guimaraes, co-founder of Fashinnovation, setting the tone for the fashion scene in the Kingdom.
