Ivanka Trump Was Seen In This Emirati Brand On Her Trip To The UAE

On her recent visit to the UAE, Ivanka Trump praised the country for advancing women’s empowerment in the region and called on other countries to follow suit during the Global Women’s Forum Dubai (GWFD) 2020. “The United Arab Emirates is taking bold leadership on this mission in the region and we hope that other countries join in reforming laws that prevent women from fully and freely integrating into the political, social and economic spheres,” she was reported as saying.

And ahead of her speech, Ivanka was photographed at the Jumeirah Al Naseem hotel in Dubai, wearing a metallic, maxi dress from Emirati label Layeur. The long-sleeved piece features a waist-belt and contrasting navy paneling on the neckline and sleeves. It’s currently available for purchase at e-tailer The Modist for $890. The daughter of the United States’ President Donald Trump, Ivanka paired the look with a pair of black pointed-toe pumps.

This isn’t the first time that Ivanka has championed an Arab label. Memorably, Trump stepped out in a two-piece suit by Moroccan designer Fadila El-Gadi during a three-day visit to the North African country last November.

During her trip, Ivanka met with female entrepreneurs and business leaders at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, including Reem al-Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Noura al-Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, and Minister of State for Advanced Sciences Sarah al-Amiri, before touring the museum.
