Pierpaolo Piccioli made dreams the center of Valentino’s SS20 Haute Couture show that unveiled last month and we were in couture heaven. Set in Paris’ 8th Arrondissement, the show jumped right into the mysteries that envelop the imaginative, deeply riveting world of dreams.
Exuding whimsy, the collection featured silhouettes that are sculptural, linear and fish-tailed with a mix-and-match of hues, a superb celebration of color. At once functional and fabulous, the pieces ranged from trousers to dresses, flecked with ruffles, bows and lots of red, of course.

Through his unique aesthetic vocabulary, Pierpaolo brought to life the timeless words of Carl Jung, that uniqueness is what makes all human beings identical. He did so by depicting that the dream of couture comes from different individualities to become one real phenomenon. The collection is an experience, one that will evoke the fantasist in you. So, delve right into it.
