This November, audiences in the UAE will have the opportunity to experience those iconic compositions live as Hans Zimmer Live – The Next Level arrives at Etihad Arena, Yas Island, on 13 November as part of the 23rd edition of Abu Dhabi Festival.
Joined by his acclaimed 19-piece band, Zimmer’s live production transforms beloved film scores into an immersive arena experience. Combining live orchestral performances with electronic elements, dramatic lighting and cinematic stage design, the show has captivated sold-out audiences across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East.
Throughout an award-winning career, Zimmer has redefined the role of film music, composing scores for some of Hollywood’s most celebrated productions including The Lion King, Gladiator, The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Last Samurai, Interstellar, Dune: Part One and Top Gun: Maverick. His most recent work includes the score for F1, while he is also set to return to Arrakis as the composer for the third instalment of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune franchise.
Zimmer’s relationship with the UAE extends beyond the concert stage. In 2025, he released Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert, a concert film recorded across some of Dubai’s most recognisable landmarks, including Al Wasl Plaza at Expo City Dubai, the Burj Al Arab and the surrounding desert landscape. Showcasing both Zimmer’s music and the country’s remarkable scenery to audiences around the world, the project celebrated the UAE as a destination for culture, creativity and world-class entertainment. His return to Abu Dhabi this November feels like a natural continuation of that connection.
