Explore Fendi’s Artful New Boutique In Germany’s Chic Fashion District

Fendi has opened the doors to a boutique in Königsallee – Düsseldorf, Germany’s renowned fashion district. The 460-square-metre store is reminiscent of iconic Fendi aesthetic codes, such as the façade of the brand’s headquarters in Rome and its marble floors, arches and walls.

Upon entering, guests are welcomed into a dual-toned space with a light pink metal staircase and complementary marble flooring. Currently housed at the store is the latest ready-to-wear collection, accessories and shoes.

To mark the opening of the space, Fendi collaborated with German contemporary artist Pepi Erdbories to customise a white canvas Peekaboo bag. The reimagined piece combines abstract art and typography in a visually striking way.

Fendi has also displayed a special selection of Peekaboo bags, which have been envisioned by international artists, designers, and celebrities across the years.

The selection of Peekaboo bags displayed pays a tribute to the House’s craftsmanship, and includes the Artist Peekaboo by Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis and Hong Kong jeweller, philanthropist, and businesswoman Michelle Ong, which was designed on the occasion of Peekaboo’s 10th anniversary. There’s also the Selleria Peekaboo, created by Aranda Lasch for Design Miami 2010.

The display also includes bags from the 2014 Peekaboo Project, including the ones by Zaha Hadid, Cara Delevingne, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
