Dubai Fashion Week: The Weekend Round-Up

Dubai Fashion Week is almost coming to a close. But before we prepare for the final shows, we take a look back at the brilliant presentations during the weekend. From Emirati designers showcasing homegrown craftsmanship to young emerging designers making a statement, the runway brought exciting, cross-cultural celebrations of fashion and design to D3.

    Here are the standout shows.

    Onori

For Onori’s SS27 collection, founder and creative director Sharifa Alhashemi drew on a memorable trip and hotel interiors with flowers. Feather details lined the hems, 3D flowers accented elegant evening wear, and fringes brought movement to silhouettes. With voluminous silhouettes, delicate floral details, and detailed accessories, the collection came together as an ode to womanhood itself.

    Lili Blanc

Lili Blanc’s SS27 collection titled “Soleil D’âme” is inspired by the shared experiences of women and how each woman finds strength, power, and love from within themselves. The collection featured elegant gowns, tailored suits, fluid fabrics, and asymmetrical silhouettes, with leather making quick appearances. The colour palette remained soft and muted with lavender, light blue, and cream, alongside black and white.

    Nafsika Skourti

From striking colour combinations to unexpected textures and playful details, Nafsika Skourti’s Resort 2027 collection was a play between softness and structure and florals and metallic accents. From relaxed co-ord sets to elegant eveningwear, sisters Nafsika and Stephanie Skourti paired the quintessential summer vibes with just the right amount of glam. The collection reflected the brand’s distinctive approach to individuality, sisterhood and contemporary dressing.

    FAD Talents

Celebrating FAD Institute’s 10th anniversary, FAD Talents closed day 3 of Dubai Fashion Week with a show highlighting the creative visions of 20 emerging designers. Through material exploration, experimental techniques, and sculptural silhouettes, the capsule collections showcased contemporary, avant-garde designs, underscoring FAD’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of fashion talent.

    Laura Aparicio

Laura Aparicio’s SS27 collection “NANDA” was a celebration of confidence, self-expression, and empowered femininity. A bold palette of saturated yellow, red, and blue brought a joyful energy to the runway with the collection exploring sculptural forms, oversized silhouettes, and fluid fabrics. Rooted in Columbian identity, every piece carried a sense of ease and spontaneity that still felt intentional.
