Here’s How The Dubai EDITION Offers The Perfect Experience To Satiate The City’s Palate

Step inside an EDITION hotel anywhere in the world and you’ll be immediately enraptured by its quiet charm. A collaboration between Marriott International and American entrepreneur Ian Schrager, the collection of boutique hotels has been designed to satiate the palate and sociocultural vocabulary of the cities it inhabits. First opening in Honolulu in 2010 and quickly expanding to London, Miami Beach, New York, and Sanya, EDITION followed its 2018 launch in Abu Dhabi, the first in the Middle East, with an anticipated opening in Downtown Dubai past November.

Sleek from the outside, the 23-storey Dubai EDITION hotel boasts impressive views of Burj Khalifa and the soaring Downtown skyline. Its central location means it’s a stone’s throw from the city’s key landmarks, and leisure and retail destinations, like The Dubai Mall and Museum of the Future. Guests are greeted by a verdant entrance, lined with terracotta pots, making the location an oasis of serenity amidst the bustling city.

Designed by Dubai-based interior design and architecture firm LW Design Group, the hotel features a sculptural white spiral staircase that leads up to three floors from the 50-foot-high lobby. It houses75 lavish guest rooms, including 41 suites and an expansive penthouse. Bedding has been thoughtfully curated with luxurious comforters and natural linen pillows, whilst special touches range from Bluetooth speakers to flat screen HDTVs to an intuitive lighting system.

The colour palette of each room offers a lesson in minimalist allure, with furniture and décor in soft wood and beige tones. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows offer sweeping views of the cityscape and are framed with 14-feet blackout curtains and large balconies. Marble bathrooms are replete with backlit mirrors, a separate shower room, and Le Labo amenities, offering a scintillating setting for relaxation.

The hotel’s fitness facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art Technogym multifunction pieces, and a range of rejuvenating services await guests in the calming ambience of EDITION’s signature spa that houses three treatment rooms. For guests visiting for business, there are spacious meeting rooms and a ballroom, in addition to a lavish event space that can be decorated and customised in a theme of your choice upon request. The outdoor pool offers ultimate respite, as it offers direct mesmerising views of Burj Khalifa.

Dubai is iconic for its fast-developing culinary scene and guests don’t need to venture far for an exquisite meal when staying at the Dubai EDITION. With choice between Gallic dishes in the Parisian setting of Jolie, and the palatial luxury of Duomo inspired by Milan’s Piazza del Duomo, visitors can indulge in the most refined dining experiences in the city. Relax on a large chaise at the cosmopolitan Thia Sky Lounge during the day or enjoy a fresh light bite on the private cabana deck that features teak wood furniture and lush plants.

Attention to architectural finesse shines through, with chairs and tables crafted from Burmese teak and acacia wood, designed by world-renowned French architect Pierre Jeanneret, and vaulted ceilings displaying a vast crystal chandelier, surrounded by expansive interiors of Italian Statuario Marble.

A remarkable addition to Dubai’s luxury hospitality scene, the Dubai EDITION is set to define itself as one of the city’s most beloved destinations for guests and visitors, whether it’s to dine in magnificence, or revel in a luxurious break.
