    Like a Work of Art

Why Hindash deserves a place in your make-up bag.

    Words by Harriet Shephard

The GCC is home to an abundance of beauty brands, but it’s been a while since one has caused as much excitement as Hindash Cosmetics.

Famed for its cruelty-free, vegan, high-quality, and ultra-long-lasting products – not to mention founder and make-up artist Mohammed Hindash’s long list of celebrity clients – the proudly Dubai-born brand is ready to take the world by storm.

Here’s everything you need to know about it.

    Who is Mohammed Hindash?

Holding a degree in Studio Art from the American University in Dubai, Mohammed began his career as a successful painter.

Specialising in portraits, he used make-up to prepare his subjects for photography and painting, which eventually led him into the beauty industry.

“As someone whose work has always revolved around faces and portraits, beauty has always been my main inspiration,” the Jordanian make-up artist tells Villa 88. “As an artist, I approached photography from a painter’s perspective. I was able to visualise what I wanted the finished image to look like, and I would combine art, make-up artistry, and photography in order to achieve it. Curating techniques and products that create specific looks and finishes is what continues to drive me to keep making new cosmetics.”

Having worked with Naomi Campbell, Lindsay Lohan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and many other celebrities from fashion, Hollywood, and beyond, Mohammed was appointed by Guerlain as its first-ever Regional Make-Up Ambassador for the Middle East in 2025. He has also collaborated with MAC, Fenty Beauty by Rihanna, and many other leading cosmetics brands.

What should women know about Hindash Cosmetics’ products?

Hindash Cosmetics’ products are designed to last all day, without creasing or smudging, even in extreme heat and humidity. Intended to encourage creativity, customisation, and individuality in the wearer,
they’re unique because they let everyone try their hand at being an artist.

“Every product is specifically designed to work together in harmony,” Mohammed explains. “This means you can mix and match and experiment with an array of powder and liquid textures. Everything is driven by artistry and performance, and created to let you be the artist.”

Which products should you try first?

In 2021, Hindash Cosmetics made its global debut with the Gradient Palette. “Our pressed Gradient Palettes are one-of-a-kind palettes that are intended to be used all over the face, however you choose,”
the founder notes. “Combining two colours in one gradient pan, it truly creates a seamless finish. We are
about to release a third Gradient Palette collection very soon, and we’re all very excited for everyone to
    see the new colour story.”

Along with the Gradient Palette, the brand’s other signature range is its Color Fluids. Lightweight, liquid shades that can be used everywhere on the face, these are a “fan favourite”, says Mohammed.
“The Color Fluids are a universal, all-in-one product you can use everywhere.”

“The formula is the best of its kind, delivering high pigment in a thin base that is easy to work with and blend in,” he adds. “It’s perfect as a long-wearing eyeshadow, bronzer, blush, or even a lipstick. A little
goes a long way, and the versatility of the formula allows you to use it in endless ways.”

Back in May, four new Color Fluid shades were released. The drop included nude hues Concrete and Sculpt, a Champagne shimmer called Boy Tears, and Carve, a bold matte tan-brown.

“For the past couple of years, we have fully dived into product development and research, and 2026 is when we get to finally launch the products we’ve been working on behind the scenes,” Mohammed Hindash concludes.

“It’s a very exciting time, and we also hope to be sold in a physical retailer very soon. Our key focus will always be product development and design, and continuing to create high-performance make-up that’s truly universal.”
