Brooches Are Back: Sheikha Moza’s Statement Summer Trend

Statement brooches are officially in for Summer 2026, and Sheikha Moza bint Nasser has already given the trend her royal approval. Once a quiet vintage detail, the brooch returns reimagined, bold, sculptural, and often layered. From heritage-inspired pieces to ultra-modern reinventions, it proves that the smallest accent can make the most powerful statement.

The right accessory has the power to transform any summer look, and the brooch remains the simplest yet most effective way to add chic personality to a wardrobe.

Seen across the runways of fashion’s leading houses, including Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Celine, and Tory Burch, brooches have re-emerged as a defining detail of the season, making it only natural that the ever-stylish Sheikha would embrace the trend in her own signature way.

During a recent visit to the Qatar Music Academy, Her Highness Sheikha Moza toured the academy, joined by her daughter, HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, vice chairperson of the Qatar Foundation. Sheikha Moza proved once again why she is regarded as a style icon, stepping out head to toe in one of summer’s biggest colour trends. The royal stunned in a powder pink look, featuring a flowing dress, a matching abaya, and coordinating heels, a masterclass in monochrome dressing.

She adorned her look with the summer’s biggest accessory trend. And while bold, vibrant brooches certainly have their moment, Sheikha Moza proved that something quieter and more sculptural can be just as striking, opting for a delicate, multi-coloured butterfly brooch that felt both regal and effortlessly modern.

Then came the masterstroke. Breaking her monochromatic powder pink with a single, deliberate contrast, Her Highness carried an Hermès Egée clutch in a Tiffany-blue hue, proof that one perfectly placed accent speaks louder than many.
