The Emirati-led Wellness Concept to Know: Gigi Studio, Dubai

Ghaliya Ahli had a clear vision from the start: not a studio, but a brand. The Emirati entrepreneur launched Gigi Dubai as the first Lagree method studio in the city, introducing a discipline built on strength, control and precision to a market ripe for something more intentional. With a background in marketing and research, Ghaliya brought analytical rigour to a creative concept, and the result has resonated.

The Lagree method, which works through slow, controlled movements on a Megaformer machine, has built a loyal following at Gigi’s two current locations in Mirdif and Nad Al Sheba. But the studio was never the whole story. Ghaliya designed Gigi around community from the outset, developing a programme of events, pop-ups and activations that have turned the brand into a gathering point for a new generation of wellness enthusiasts in Dubai.

Design sits at the heart of the Gigi identity. Every element, from the visual language to the in-studio experience, reflects Ghaliya’s belief that wellness and aesthetics are inseparable. Art, cultural expression and considered interiors are woven into the fabric of the brand, giving it a distinctiveness that goes well beyond the class schedule.

With expansion into new locations on the horizon, Gigi is entering its next chapter. Ghaliya’s focus remains on building spaces and experiences that encourage connection and support a more balanced way of living.
