The Fashion Installations and Collections to See at Milan Design Week

From immersive design installations to unique fashion launches

Milan takes centre stage as Design Week begins, drawing the global creative community to Italy’s design capital. Beyond furniture and interiors, luxury fashion houses are once again shaping the conversation, unveiling immersive installations, exhibitions and new collections that extend their worlds beyond the runway. Here, we highlight the standout moments to discover across the city.

Loro Piana

Loro Piana

Loro Piana presents Studies, Chapter I: On the Plaid, a refined exploration of one of the House’s most enduring signatures. Originally among Loro Piana’s earliest creations, plaid is revisited here as a space for experimentation, where materials, techniques and craftsmanship converge. Presented as a series of 24 unique pieces, each design is treated as an individual study, revealing variations in construction, texture, and form.

Fendi

Fendi

Fendi expands its commitment to creativity with the launch of the Fendi Design Prize, a new initiative dedicated to supporting emerging talent and celebrating craftsmanship. Curated by Giulio Cappellini and judged by leading design figures, the award debuted during Milan Design Week 2026, with VIA by Gustav Craft named its first winner. The project will be realised ahead of Design Miami 2026, with further collaboration planned in partnership with FENDI Casa.

Buccellati unveils Aquae Mirabiles, an immersive installation showcasing the Maison’s iconic Caviar collection. The installation invites visitors into a creative narrative where craftsmanship meets poetic storytelling. Across silverware and tableware, from trays and plates to Murano glass pieces, the collection continues to evolve with new additions, while remaining rooted in traditional silversmithing techniques.

Gucci

Gucci

Presented at the Chiostri di San Simpliciano, Gucci Memoria is an immersive exhibition curated by Demna that traces the House’s 105-year history. Unfolding through installations, tapestries and interactive elements, the project reflects Gucci’s evolving identity while remaining rooted in its Florentine heritage. At its centre, a series of twelve tapestries offers a visual chronicle of defining moments, transforming archival storytelling into a richly layered, contemporary experience.

Armani/Casa

Armani/Casa

Unveiled at its Milan flagship on Corso Venezia 14, the Armani/Casa 2026 collection is presented through Origins, a new exhibition exploring the essence of the brand’s design language. Conceived as a fluid narrative, the display moves between iconic pieces and evolving forms, with sculptural installations and theatrical staging reflecting Giorgio Armani’s enduring vision of refined, timeless living, elegance and understated sophistication.

Dior

Dior

Dior Maison unveils new Corolle lamps with designer Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance at Salone del Mobile 2026. Blending couture and art de vivre, the pieces reinterpret the Maison’s iconic New Look silhouette. Crafted from mouth-blown Murano glass and woven bamboo, the designs echo movement and structure, transforming lighting into sculptural objects that reflect Dior’s enduring craftsmanship and refined aesthetic.

Chloé

Chloé

Chloé reveals an exclusive re-edition of the iconic Tomato chair in collaboration with Poltronova. Originally designed in 1970 by Christian Adam, the sculptural piece reflects the spirit of Radical design through its soft, organic form. Reimagined under Chemena Kamali, it aligns with the Maison’s vision of fluidity and ease, crafted in naturally tanned leather in a refined palette.

Elie Saab

Elie Saab

Elie Saab presents an exclusive collaboration with Italian homeware brand Impatia. The project reimagines the classic billiard table, transforming the game into a design statement. Sculptural and architectural, its transparent structure creates a sense of lightness, while a dark bronze metal frame and ribbed glass panels introduce depth and precision.

Issey Miyake

Issey Miyake

Issey Miyake unveils handcrafted furniture created from compressed paper rolls salvaged from the production of its pleated garments. Presented as part of The Paper Log: Shell and Core, the exhibition opens at the brand’s Milan store on April 21. Blending sustainability with experimentation, the project reimagines fashion by-products through sculptural, functional design grounded in material innovation, craftsmanship, and a thoughtful, circular approach to creative production.

Aesop

Aesop

Skincare brand Aesop steps into design with its first lighting piece, Aposē. The brand presents The Factory of Light, an immersive installation set against scaffolding printed with Milan’s architectural landmarks. Designed by Aesop’s in-house architects, the lamp pairs a hand-cast brass plinth, produced in a German family-run forge, with a mouth-blown glass crown crafted near Murano, bringing together precision and artisanal technique. The Factory of Light will be on view at Chiesa del Carmine from April 21–26.

Rimowa
