UAE-based artists are invited to take part in the second edition of ADREA Public Art, an initiative that continues to shape Abu Dhabi’s evolving cultural landscape through site-specific, permanent installations. Set within the grounds of ADREA, the capital’s distinguished equestrian facility, the open call offers creatives the opportunity to contribute to a space defined by movement, heritage, and a deep connection to the natural environment.
For this edition, artists are encouraged to submit original proposals that respond to the rhythm and philosophy of ADREA, drawing inspiration from equestrian culture, the surrounding desert, and the spirit of the UAE. Two selected works will be commissioned and installed as permanent fixtures, becoming part of the venue’s identity and its growing artistic narrative.
Beyond the installations themselves, the initiative underscores a broader commitment to supporting regional talent and fostering meaningful public art experiences. By integrating contemporary artistic expression within a culturally significant setting, ADREA Public Art Vol II seeks to create a dialogue between tradition and innovation.
Proposals should include a clear creative concept and its connection to ADREA, supported by sketches or renders that illustrate scale and form. Artists are also asked to consider the emotional resonance of their work, outlining what it invites viewers to feel, alongside practical details such as materials, fabrication, dimensions, installation requirements, durability, and safety.
A detailed budget covering production, logistics, fees, and installation is required, as well as a proposed timeline leading to final installation by 31 October 2026. Submissions should also include a short artist bio and a portfolio of up to eight works, with accompanying details.
With an emphasis on imagination, storytelling, and place-making, ADREA Public Art Vol II invites artists to share their vision, and become part of a legacy that is both seen and felt.
Applications are now open, with submissions closing on 24 April 2026.
