Inside Dolce & Gabbana’s magnificent Alta Gioielleria show at Villa Adriana

In the serene setting of the Teatro Marittimo at Villa Adriana in Tivoli, Dolce & Gabbana revealed its Alta Gioielleria Roma 2025 collection.

Surrounded by Hadrian’s imperial ruins, the jewellery presentation was a showcase of Italian craftsmanship through jewels inspired by Rome’s architecture and deep mythology.

Each creation pays homage to the city. Think rounded arches, pediments and Corinthian motifs reimagined in sculptural settings. While pendants feature hand-painted miniatures and marble-powder busts. The pieces are made with a vivid gemstone palette of sapphires, peridots, kunzites, morganites, and diamonds.

The collection also comments on the glamour of the Dolce Vita era, when cinema’s iconic divas embodied Italian allure. Lavish parures set with sizeable gemstones reinterpret the elegance of the 1950s and ’60s.

Complementing the jewels, the Alta Moda showcase unfolded dramatically along the Via Sacra at the Roman Forum. Drawing from myth, history, and the Renaissance through to the golden age of Cinecittà, the couture pieces revived Rome’s legacy as the cradle of Alta Moda.
