His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has presented a signed copy of his new book Life Taught Me to his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Al Maktoum.
In a heartfelt personal note, Sheikh Mohammed wrote: “To my lifelong companion and friend, to the beginning of my life and its most beautiful part, to the soul of Dubai and its heartbeat, Hind bint Maktoum. I dedicate to you the lessons of my life, you who have always been a part of my success.”
The list of recipients of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s new book continues to grow, with the latest being UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
In a post shared on X on Monday, the UAE President praised the book as a valuable guide, saying it offers insights from Sheikh Mohammed’s rich personal and professional journey.

“I greatly enjoyed reading the book and recommend it to everyone to read and benefit from it. May God protect him and grant him long life as he continues his giving to his country,” he wrote.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid has gifted his children copies of his new book, each accompanied by personal notes filled with lessons and wisdom. To his son, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan, Crown Prince of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed wrote: “Because wisdom is more precious than gold, I place in your hands the essence of what life taught me, hoping that it will be of assistance to you in your journey of serving the country and its people.”
Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), received her copy with a note from His Highness: “To my daughter, who carries my mother’s name, Latifa bint Mohammed: wisdom does not lie in having all the answers, but in asking the right questions. I gift you some of the lessons life taught me.”
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed did not forget the new generation, as he also gifted his namesake grandson, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed, a personal note: “To my son, Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, History remembers only those who dared for the sake of their dreams, and those who ventured down paths no one had taken before. This is what life taught me.”
To mark nearly 60 years of public service, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid has announced the release of Part One of his new book, Life Taught Me.
The book features 35 chapters reflecting significant moments from his leadership journey and intellectual philosophy, offering insights into His Highness’s vision for governance, public affairs, and life in general. It is intended to be a lasting reference for current and future generations.
