Velaa Private Island in the Maldives announced its new partnership with Italian jewellery house Pomellato and Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin, as they are set to release a limited-edition collection inspired by the island.
Both brands are part of French luxury group, Kering, which also owns brands such as Balenciaga, Gucci, Boucheron, Brioni and Saint Laurent.
Only a 45-minute seaplane ride from the capital Malé, Velaa Private Island is part of Noonu Atoll, a constellation of islands in the Maldives. It is super secluded and offers visitors complete privacy.
Founded in 1967 in Milan, Pomellato gained international recognition for its avant-garde designs, unusual gem cuts and craftsmanship.
Drawing inspiration from the island’s natural beauty, the new jewellery collection will be comprised of a selection of rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings that highlight the brand’s elegant yet modern designs.
On the other hand, Ulysse Nardin’s collection will feature a series of high-end, water-resistant watches and a limited-edition Velaa-branded watch that will only be available on the island itself.
The release will also include three unique pieces from The Marine Collection, The Freak Collection and The Exclusive Collection.
