Last evening, American luxury jewellery and watches label Jacob & Co. opened the doors to its largest store ever in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The sumptuous new boutique is located on Olaya Main Street at Akariya Plaza in the capital. Unveiled in the presence of Jacob Arabo, founder and Chairman of the brand, the event saw a display of exquisite timepieces and jewellery that have captivated celebrities and luminaries around the world.
Speaking to Villa 88, Mr. Jacob revealed why this was the perfect time to launch the long-awaited boutique in the Kingdom. “Tonight in a very special night. We’re opening our flagship boutique in Riyadh. We’ve been wanting to do this for many years,” he said.
“In the past 20-25 years, many of our clients have asked me why we don’t have a boutique in Saudi Arabia, and I always used to say that we’d open it when it’s the right time. And now is the right time.”
To celebrate the launch of the flagship store, Jacob & Co. also unveiled an exclusive Christian Ronaldo-themed collection.
Earlier this year, the label gifted the footballer a one-of-a-kind Caviar Tourbillon Tsavorites garnet-encrusted timepiece, worth $770,000 (Dhs2,827,671), to mark his arrival in Saudi Arabia.
