Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were in Jordan for an unexpected two-day trip with the World Health Organization. While there, the couple had a busy schedule, learning more about the humanitarian issues impacting the country.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent their final hours in Jordan at the King Hussein Cancer Centre, in the company of little fighters: young cancer patients from Jordan, Syria and Gaza. The couple spent time colouring and painting with them in the centre’s playroom. They were welcomed by HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Centre, and her daughter, HRH Princess Rajaa bint Talal.
Princess Ghida Talal shared images from the visit on her Instagram, writing, “Their time with our children from Jordan, Syria and Gaza was deeply moving, bringing compassion and hope to them and their families.”
The pair also met with another member of Jordan’s royal family, HRH Princess Basma bint Talal, who received Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and his wife, Meghan, during their visit to the Hashemite Fund for Human Development. The meeting took place in the presence of her daughter, Farah Dagistani, the Fund’s Executive Director, as well as the Director-General of the World Health Organisation.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), for a two-day visit to Jordan focused on humanitarian health response, mental health, and support for vulnerable communities affected by conflict and displacement.

They kicked off day one with a World Health Organisation roundtable hosted by Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus before touring a youth centre at Za’atari Refugee Camp.
By the end of the day, they met medical teams and Maria, a 14-year-old survivor from Gaza currently recovering at the Speciality Hospital.

On day two, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex paid a visit to the World Central Kitchen’s regional headquarters in Amman, where humanitarian teams are coordinating urgent food relief efforts for Gaza.
Prince Harry pens a deeply personal message on day 2 of Jordan trip while visiting the National Centre for Rehabilitation of Addicts (NCRA): ‘It’s OK to not be OK’

The Sussexes also visited the National Centre for Rehabilitation of Addicts (NCRA), where they penned touching messages of support to patients.
On his note, Prince Harry wrote a touching message of support. It read: “It’s ok not to be ok. Trust each other. Congratulations on your recovery. Now share your courage and experience.”

Meghan congratulated patients on their dedication to their care. She wrote: “Congratulations on your dedication to your care. Wishing you continued healing and happiness.”
