One year after the debut of Barénia Eau de Parfum, Hermès has just released a new version of the scent, Barénia Eau de Parfum Intense.
Crafted by Hermès’ genius perfumer Christine Nagel, the fragrance intensifies the house’s beloved olfactory creation, adding enriched layers and deeper notes.
At its core, patchouli takes centre stage once again, but with an ‘absolute’ in order to enrich the scent.
Leathery notes are delicately combined with butterfly lily and miracle berry, while oakwood, transformed through a roasting process, introduces warm accents to the mix. The result is a perfume that is as powerful and reveals that the Hermès woman is one who is defined by mystery.
For Christine, Barénia stands as a metaphor. “When you touch Barénia leather, a kind of fusion happens between the texture and your skin. The leather returns your caress,” she explains.
The flacon, designed by Philippe Mouquet, reflects this interplay. Lacquered in graduated amber tones that fade to transparency, it carries the Hermès signature with timeless elegance. The familiar metal plate and cap remain, but the box now arrives in rouge H hue.
Available in 100ml, 60ml, 30ml, refill, and travel sizes, Barénia Eau de Parfum Intense is now available to purchase globally.
