Where to, for your lifestyle shopping fix? Dubai-based creative communal space Kulture House recently launched a homeware pop-up that features a treasure trove of homeware and fashion brands. Featuring a superb curation of pieces, the collections are akin to a trip around the world, with hand-loomed rugs from Jaipur to African-inspired artisanal furniture.
With a huge focus on Middle Eastern creatives, the pop-up features brands, including Saudi-based Art of Heritage, which works towards preserving and promoting the Kingdom’s cultural treasures. The group trains and employs Saudi women, who create intricately-detailed heritage garments, jewelry, textiles and household items.
Among other brands is Beldi Bazaar, which offers rugs that are traditionally handcrafted from the wool of a special breed of sheep from Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains. In contrast, there’s also Chukpalu that offers a line of contemporary handmade rugs from Afghanistan. Another rug brand on view is Weave Factory, which features hand-loomed dhurries and rugs from Jaipur, India.
Jordanian homeware brand Decoration One has on offer pieces that are inspired by Islamic art and calligraphy that are at once functional and fit for any interior space. Also part of the roster is Savannah Pop that manufacturers African-inspired furniture pieces, which means they’re all about color.
Among other brands on view are Dubai-based SHADI by Dilbar and Sitora featuring beautiful Uzbek prints, gallery Zinjaar that specializes in hand-crafted, vintage furniture, and Candlelicioush, which offers handmade candles made using pure organic soy wax, recyclable wax and pure essential oils from different parts of the world. Don’t miss the pop-up that runs until 29 February.
