This Dubai-Based Sustainable Brand Is Manufacturing Reusable Masks For A Cause

NAFSI, a sustainable fashion brand launched in January this year, is  working towards the greater good with their environment-friendly masks with the aim of giving back to the community.

The company has created simple yet chic masks using organic Egyptian cotton and upcycled materials, ensuring that style and protection go hand-in-hand. The brand is collaborating with Gulf for Good, to ensure every mask purchase and/or donation helps children around the world live a happier, more sustainable life.

Proceeds will go towards supporting four Gulf for Good’s 2020 charitable projects, which include initiatives that aim at changing the lives of underprivileged children around the world.

NAFSI aims at impacting the fashion industry with their products that are both sustainably-sourced and ethically-made in partnership with fair trade providers. “I wanted to do what I can to support people during the pandemic, but we should also reach out to those suffering, who might be impacted even more.” NAFSI founder Celine Hajjar said in a statement to The National. “It’s what we have to do for the greater good, for getting past this, and coming together as a nation to get over the pandemic,” she added.

The donations are evenly directed towards building schools for the children of migrant laborers in Nepal, ensuring classroom and playground improvement in Uganda, providing 13 days of clean drinking water for a child in Lebanon, and caring for student dormitories in Peru.
