Dubai-based model and humanitarian Jessica Kahawaty has partnered with her mom to launch a food delivery concept named Mama Rita to pursue her love of soulful food. Jessica’s mother, Rita Kahawaty, is the creative force behind the concept, having designed the menu with wholesome traditional Middle Eastern and international dishes.

Rita takes inspiration for her cooking from her mother Nina, who used to create delicious traditional recipes using vegetables that her father grew in the Lebanese mountains. “Mama Rita is a true expression of my love of home cooking that has been passed down through the generations of my family. The meals delivered to your home are a true taste of my own kitchen,” says Rita.

The menu features a simple yet sumptuous mxi of dishes with the freshest ingredients. Think about creamy beetroot hummus, served with cucumber and carrot sticks, and a vegan quinoa salad, flecked with pomegranate seeds, avocado, green apple, dried cranberries and roasted hazelnut.
Another menu favorite is the peanut butter chicken, an African-inspired dish that takes a cue from Mama Rita’s aunt who lived in Africa. The dessert menu is also filled with delights, including a homemade pillowy blueberry cake.

Mama Rita will be delivering its nourishing offerings across Dubai. “Our family has always been about sharing and finally, the world gets to taste the food that we grew up with,” says Jessica. You can now get a taste of Mama Rita’s authentic Lebanese cuisine by ordering from Mamarita.com.
