Yas Marina Circuit Brings 105 Nationalities Together for Special TrainYAS Edition

On 15 April, Yas Marina Circuit transformed into something more than a motorsport venue. Under the theme One Flag, One Walk, One Community, the circuit’s flagship community fitness programme TrainYAS welcomed thousands of participants from 105 nationalities — a gathering that spoke as much to belonging as it did to movement.

Presented by Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), the event was designed to reframe exercise as a collective act. Participants walked the iconic circuit together, joining in the UAE National Anthem and family-friendly activities, many wearing national colours and carrying UAE flags. The atmosphere, by all accounts, was as much about identity as it was about breaking a sweat.

H.E. Dr. Rashed Al Suwaidi, Director General of ADPHC, framed it simply: “Health is built in moments like these, when communities come together, move together, and support one another. What we witnessed today goes beyond physical activity; it reflects a deep sense of national pride and belonging.” For ADPHC — the UAE’s first dedicated public and preventive health authority — programming like TrainYAS is a direct line between national vision and everyday habit.

Ali Al Beshr, General Manager of Yas Marina Circuit, echoed that thinking. “One Flag, One Walk, One Community showed how powerful it can be when people come together with a shared purpose,” he said, noting the circuit’s broader role as a community platform rather than a racing venue alone.

TrainYAS has grown steadily into one of the UAE’s most visible community fitness programmes, drawing residents from across Emirates into a regular rhythm of activity on one of the region’s most recognisable stretches of tarmac. This special edition, though, pushed that mission further — anchoring physical health in the fabric of national identity, and proving that the most compelling finish line is sometimes the one you cross together.
