A masterclass in Scandinavian style, the event sets the stage for expressive street style and functional design thinking while maintaining strict environmental accountability. 

Here are 5 trends from this year’s edition that we want to bring to our wardrobes.

Cape Overlay

Designers experimented with fluid movement and textured layering, ranging from sheer, floor-sweeping outerwear to artisanally woven asymmetrical shoulder drapes. Whether worn as a lightweight evening layer or as structured focal points, capes lend dramatic movement to simple base pieces.

Tassels

Designers at CPHFW interpreted tassels in delightfully innovative ways, adding fluid movement and rich dimension to their garments. Sweeping across hem lines in varying lengths and tactile textures, tassels offered a playful, dynamic contrast to Scandinavian minimalism. They are the perfect way to create instant drama to an otherwise basic summer look.

Voluminous Bermuda Shorts

From sharp, pleated trousers to silky, floating pants, designers experimented with volume and layers this summer. Different interpretations of Bermuda shorts, in shapes, layers, and tailoring, remained a standout. Casual yet intentional, this breathable style instantly elevates your daily look when paired with a basic T-shirt or top.

Elevated Headpieces

Drama was served head to toe, thanks to headpieces that brought confidence and character to simple silhouettes. Textured, tasselled headscarves from Collina Strada and sculptural hats from Iamisigo were inspiring additions to their already spectacular collections. 

Gathered Fabric 

Throughout multiple collections, gathered fabric was used to create volume, textured intrigue, or asymmetrical focal points. The technique turns everyday garments into subtle works of art without sacrificing comfort, making it an effortless styling tool for summer.
