Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation attended on Wednesday the celebration of the 20^th anniversary of Georgetown University in Qatar — a distinguished partner institution within Education City — marking two decades of profound collaboration and mutual achievement. 

Sheikha Moza later shared photos from the event on her official Instagram account, reflecting on two decades of impactful collaboration. “Qatar Foundation’s partnership with the esteemed Georgetown University over the past 20 years embodies our shared belief in the fundamental importance of education,” she wrote. “Our partnership is an integral pillar in the success of the Education City model, which was once deemed a far-fetched dream.”

Marking the occasion, Her Highness expressed her optimism for the future: “Today we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Georgetown University Qatar, and we look forward to seeing the next generation of changemaking leaders emerge from @guqatar in the next 10 years and beyond.”

The Qatar Foundation and Georgetown University in Qatar celebrated the university’s 20^th anniversary in Qatar by hosting a celebratory event in which the foundation and the university signed an agreement to renew their partnership for another ten years. The agreement was signed by Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation, and Georgetown University Interim President Robert M. Groves.

As night fell, an elegant banquet marked the 20^th anniversary of Georgetown University in Qatar, drawing a distinguished gathering of dignitaries and esteemed guests. Among them was Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser and Her Excellency Lolwah Al Khater, Qatar’s Minister of Education and Higher Education.

The Qatari royal captivated attendees in an altered Schiaparelli haute couture gown from the Autumn 2021 collection. She completed the look with a refined clutch by Shana London.
