Her Highness Sheikha Jowaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, Emir of Qatar Consort, made an elegant appearance at Tuesday’s state banquet for the French President, wearing a classic black-and-white gown.

Her Highness Sheikha Jowaher stood beside her husband, welcoming the French president and accompanying delegations arriving at Lusail Palace.

Sheikha Jowaher looked elegant in a black abaya gown with a white panel running down the front. She kept her look simple, pairing it with a black headscarf, a diamond bracelet and delicate rings. The black-and-white combination gave her outfit a timeless and refined look, proving that simplicity can make a statement.

Who is Sheikha Jowaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani?

Sheikha Jowaher is the daughter of Sheikh Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, a former Qatari government minister. She was the granddaughter of Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, the emir of Qatar from 1972 to 1995. Sheikha Jowaher received her Master of Arts degree from Qatar University in 2021.

The couple have four children together: Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani; Sheikh Hamad bin Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani; Sheikha Aisha bint Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani; and Sheikh Jassim bin Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

As the Emir’s Consort, Her Highness has accompanied her husband on numerous overseas trips, including official visits to the United Kingdom and other European countries.
