Sayyida Al Jalila Ahad Al Busaidiyah of Oman always makes carefully considered choices with her clothes that hold significance whether by showcasing Oman’s rich heritage or championing small, independent, and local businesses.
In recent years, Sayyida Al Jalila Ahad of Oman has emerged as a true ambassador for her country’s rich cultural heritage. Through her carefully selected attire, she highlights the nation’s traditions and values, often drawing on Oman’s history and craftsmanship.
During the visit of Egypt’s First Lady to Oman, Sayyida Al Jalila selected Noora Al Balushya, owner of Khalijia Boutique, to create two intricately embroidered designs. These outfits elegantly showcased modern interpretations of traditional Omani attire, blending heritage with contemporary style.
Back in October, to celebrate Omani Women’s Day, Sayyida Al Jalila chose Omani designer Amal Al Raisi to craft a contemporary interpretation of traditional northern Omani attire with custom-made traditional gold set by Saudi brand Albagshi Jewellery. Through this choice, Oman’s First Lady honoured the rich cultural heritage of northern Oman, showcasing it with a modern, sophisticated twist.
While visiting Egypt in May, Sayyida Al Jalila turned heads in elegant abayas by the Doha-based brand Debaj. Known for its sophisticated designs, Debaj is a favourite among royal ladies in Qatar. The First Lady of Oman demonstrated her refined taste, embracing the brand’s signature style, which beautifully balances modesty with soft, flowing designs.
