Boucheron has unveiled its latest Carte Blanche High Jewellery collection, Human Being, a striking exploration of what connects us while celebrating the qualities that make every individual unique. Designed by Creative Director Claire Choisne, the collection presents five jewellery sets that reinterpret the Maison’s iconic cluster necklace through exceptional craftsmanship and innovative artistry.

Following previous Carte Blanche collections inspired by water scarcity and the fragility of nature, Human Being turns its attention to humanity itself. In an increasingly artificial world, Choisne highlights the value of human creativity and artisanal savoir-faire, bringing together specialists from a range of disciplines to create the collection. More than 14,000 hours were dedicated to crafting the five sets, each showcasing a distinct technique while sharing a common design language.

Among the standout creations is Rain, which creates the illusion of diamonds suspended within cascading droplets of rock crystal using more than 4,800 individually positioned diamonds. Flower pairs rose quartz with intricate hand-painted micro-miniatures to recreate the delicate stages of a blooming flower, while Tattoo draws inspiration from Victorian body art through the ancient technique of glyptic engraving, allowing engraved motifs to emerge as light passes through smoky quartz.

Completing the collection is a contemporary campaign featuring six models styled identically before revealing their individuality through movement and expression. Echoing the philosophy behind Human Being, the campaign reminds us that while we may share common ground, it is our differences, creativity and craftsmanship that make us truly extraordinary.
