Bottega Veneta has launched a brand new fragrance collection titled “Alta”, composed of ten new Eau de Parfum expressions. The collection marks a new chapter in the house’s olfactory exploration with its reimagination of Italy as a whole in dialogue with the world. 

The collection is built around the concept of the “Intrecciato duo”, weaving together one ingredient from Italy with another from elsewhere in the world, exploring cross-cultural exchange through scent. This evolution balances light, fresh notes like citrus and aromatics with warm, rich woods and resins. Unexpected accords like “stracciatella” with its milky vanilla and chocolate notes refine the idea of what “Italian” smells like.

Always Now pairs vibrant Italian basil accord with intense Madagascan vetiver bourbon essence. Montebello is inspired by the house’s atelier gardens in Veneto, fusing bright blood orange with the delicacy and depth of North African neroli. Balliamo evokes a warm summer evening, combining lush Italian white fig with the resonance of American cedarwood. 

Bare Morning blends Italian talco accord with the elegance of Oceania sandalwood, delivering an intimate skin-like encounter. Slow Rise blossoms with late summer’s roses and with French clary sage. Ricordami reimagines childhood nostalgia with stracciatella ice cream unexpectedly grounded by oakwood.

Moment After suggests subtle sensuality, blending classic Italian leather accords with the smooth warmth of vanilla. Night Sounds merges Italian saffron accord with Vietnamese benzoin for a warm, resinous, nocturnal feeling. Velvet Steps features syrupy Italian plum accord with richly enveloping Spanish labdanum. Crespuscolo evokes the moment of dusk through contrasting salty Fior di Sale with deeper tones of South Asian oud. 

The Alta bottles reinterpret the iconic diagonal rhythm of the signature Intrecciato leather weave by translating it into sculptural glass. A wooden cap and gold-finished ring reference Venetian architecture and fine jewellery craftsmanship, maintaining a sleek continuity with the house’s previous collections. Each bottle is refillable, offered in 50ml and 100ml formats, and constructed using recycled glass. 

As the house’s most expansive fragrance release to date, Alta is accompanied by a series of bespoke woven leather accessories, launching across Bottega Veneta boutiques and leading department stores worldwide.
