In its most expressive chapter, Richard Mille’s RM 07-01 Coloured Ceramics Collection arrives as a study in colour, craftsmanship, and contemporary femininity. First introduced in 2021, the line reaches its crescendo in 2026 with three limited-edition timepieces, each produced in just 50 pieces, now elevated through the intricate addition of gem-setting.
Drawing on the liberated spirit of the 1980s, the collection explores vivid contrasts, layered textures, and graphic intensity. Dials become canvases where laser-cut rubber appliqués meet traditional guilloché engraving, creating a dynamic interplay of depth and light. The collection is nostalgic but also sharply modern, a visual rhythm that shifts with every movement of the wrist.

At the heart of each piece lies the in-house CRMA2 automatic calibre, a skeletonised movement crafted from grade 5 titanium. With a 50-hour power reserve and a variable-geometry rotor in gold, the mechanism is not just technical but deeply visual, revealing itself as an intricate architecture of precision and energy.
The use of TZP ceramic in blush pink, lavender pink, and powder blue underscores both innovation and durability. Known for its exceptional hardness and chromatic intensity, the material serves as the perfect backdrop for the collection’s most striking feature: gem-set bezels. Diamonds, sapphires, rubies, and tsavorites are meticulously hand-set into the ceramic, a process that demands extraordinary precision given the material’s resistance.

More than a closing chapter, the RM 07-01 Coloured Ceramics collection stands as a confident statement of design evolution, where technical mastery meets a fearless exploration of colour, and where tradition is reimagined through a distinctly modern lens.
