Introducing Chapter: A New Literary Consultancy in the Middle East

Chapter, a new Dubai-based literary consultancy, is bringing a fresh perspective to the role of books in hospitality, design and cultural spaces across the Middle East.

Founded by Shadi Moazami, Chapter creates bespoke book collections for hotels, private residences, members’ clubs, destinations and cultural venues. Each collection is carefully shaped around a space’s architecture, history, location and audience, ranging from curated bedside selections to libraries.

The consultancy supports clients throughout the process, from concept development and curation to sourcing, procurement, styling and installation. Its work also extends beyond bookshelves through author conversations, readings, salons, book clubs, literary retreats and cultural partnerships.

“Some of the most memorable hospitality experiences are defined by the smallest details, the elements that give a space character and connect it to where you are,” says Moazami. “Books have an incredible ability to do that. With Chapter, we want to give the same consideration as art, design or music, creating collections that add depth to a space, encourage discovery and become a meaningful part of the guest experience.”

With expertise spanning travel, hospitality and communications in the region, Chapter aims to position books alongside art, design and music as an essential part of the guest experience.

Based in Dubai and serving the Middle East, Chapter will leverage its network of publishers, writers, booksellers, and cultural institutions to connect international literature with local voices and stories.
