Princess Iman of Jordan is officially a mom of three!
Her Royal Highness Princess Iman, the daughter of Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan, has welcomed twin girls with her husband, Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, on Friday.
On Saturday, Queen Rania Al Abdullah shared the twins’ names, delighting royal fans around the world. The parents honoured Queen Rania by naming one of the twins Rania, while their second daughter was given the name Talia, a first for the Jordanian Royal Family.
The Royal Hashemite Court announced the happy news in a statement on Friday, August 14, confirming that the couple had welcomed twin daughters.
The Royal Hashemite Court is pleased to announce that Her Royal Highness Princess Iman bint Abdullah II and Mr Jameel Alexander Thermiotis were blessed with twin baby girls on Friday, 14 August 2026,” the Court announced.
The Royal Hashemite Court congratulated Princess Iman and Jameel on the birth of their daughters and extended its congratulations and best wishes to King Abdullah, Queen Rania and Crown Prince Al Hussein on the happy occasion.
The arrival of the babies comes just a little over a month after Queen Rania revealed that her daughter was expecting again via Instagram.
On July 9, the Queen shared a lovely family photo showing Princess Iman with her growing baby bump alongside her husband Jameel and daughter, little Amina. “The grandchildren club is growing, and we couldn’t be happier for Iman, Jameel and soon-to-be big sister Amina,” the queen shared.
Princess Iman is the second child and eldest daughter of King Abdullah and Queen Raina of Jordan. She married Jameel, a US-based businessman, on March 12, 2023, in a romantic ceremony in Amman, Jordan, and they welcomed their first child, daughter Amina, on Feb 16, 2025.
Twins Run in the Jordanian Royal Family…
While twins are rare in many royal families, that is certainly not the case for Jordan’s. The Jordanian royal family has a history of twins, with a set appearing in almost every generation. Jordan’s first queen, Queen Musbah, was herself a twin, while King Abdullah II’s younger sisters, Princesses Zain and Aisha, born in 1968, are also twins.
The tradition continues through the wider family. Princess Iman’s cousins, Princesses Aisha and Sara bint Faisal, born in 1997, are twins, while King Abdullah II’s cousin Prince Talal bin Muhammad and his wife, Princess Ghida Talal, welcomed twins in 2001 — Prince Muhammad and Princess Rajaa.
Now, with the arrival of Princess Iman’s twin daughters, the latest generation of the Jordanian royal family has welcomed another set of twins.
