Bottega Veneta’s IL MIO Explores the Relationship Between Bags and Their Wearers

Bottega Veneta introduces IL MIO, a new portrait series photographed by Drew Vickers under the creative direction of Louise Trotter, exploring the personal relationship between a bag and the person who carries it. Named after the Italian expression for “what belongs to me,” the project moves beyond accessories and considers bags as objects that become woven into memory, identity, and everyday life.

At the centre of the series are five Intrecciato designs: the Mini Andiamo, Lauren 1980, Madison, alongside a first look at the Baby Campana and Baby Barbara, both launching later this summer.

Through intimate portraiture, IL MIO reflects how these pieces evolve over time collected, cherished, and eventually passed between generations.

Crafted through Bottega Veneta’s signature savoir-faire, each woven silhouette becomes more than an object of luxury; it becomes an extension of the wearer and a reflection of personal style, memory, and individuality.
