From Mediterranean escapes to quiet European hideaways.
There are celebrity holidays, and then there are Beckham holidays. Effortlessly glamorous, endlessly photographed, and always set against some of the world’s most beautiful backdrops. Whether they are sailing through the Mediterranean, escaping to the Italian coast or retreating to some of the world’s most exclusive resorts, David and Victoria Beckham (as well as Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper) have transformed travel into an extension of their lifestyle, balancing family time, understated luxury and effortless style.

Their recent getaway to Ibiza and Formentera once again offered a glimpse into how one of the world’s most famous families spends its downtime. Cruising around the Balearic Islands aboard a yacht, joined by daughter Harper and son Romeo, David and Victoria Beckham appeared perfectly at ease, splitting their days between swimming in secluded coves, long lunches and soaking up the Mediterranean sunshine. As images of the trip filled social media, it inevitably raised the question: What does a Beckham holiday actually look like?

At the heart of their travel style is the Mediterranean. Italy, in particular, remains one of the family’s favourite destinations. Over the years, they have been spotted exploring the Amalfi Coast, spending time in Capri and discovering the quieter charms of Puglia. While Capri offers the glamour expected of an A-list escape, Puglia reflects another side of the Beckhams’ travel personality. The region’s olive groves, whitewashed villages, luxury masserias and slower pace offer the sort of understated elegance that increasingly defines modern luxury travel. Rather than flashy excess, the appeal lies in authenticity, beautiful surroundings and exceptional hospitality.

France also features heavily on the Beckham travel map. The French Riviera has long been a favourite destination, with the family frequently enjoying summers along the Côte d’Azur. Here, yacht days are often combined with designer shopping trips and time spent with close friends, including Elton John and David Furnish. It is easy to see why the destination appeals. The combination of sunshine, privacy, luxury hotels and effortless glamour feels perfectly aligned with the Beckham aesthetic.

When seeking a quieter escape, the family often heads east towards the Adriatic. Croatia and Montenegro have become regular fixtures in their travel diary, offering stunning coastlines without the crowds of some Mediterranean hotspots. They have reportedly spent time exploring Croatia’s islands and historic towns, while luxury hideaways such as Lopud 1483, a beautifully restored monastery retreat, offer the sort of discreet exclusivity they favour. Montenegro’s recently reopened Aman Sveti Stefan is another destination that aligns perfectly with their travel style. Set on the Adriatic coast, the resort combines privacy, elegant accommodation, world-class wellness facilities and breathtaking sea views.

When venturing further afield, the Beckhams often seek experiences that combine luxury with adventure. One such destination is Nihi Sumba in Indonesia, regularly ranked among the world’s finest resorts. Located on the remote island of Sumba, the property offers exceptional surfing, wellness experiences and a deep connection to nature.

Of course, no Beckham holiday would be complete without the fashion. Whether Victoria is stepping off a yacht in oversized sunglasses and a flowing white dress or David is embracing relaxed linen shirts and chic swimwear, their travel wardrobes have become almost as closely followed as their destinations. Their holidays offer a masterclass in resort dressing.
Ultimately, the Beckham approach to travel is about creating memorable experiences with family and friends in some of the world’s most beautiful destinations.
