Emirati fine jewellery designer Noora Shawqi introduces The Nile Collection, inspired by the enduring symbolism and visual language of ancient Egypt. Known for grounding each collection in a place she has personally travelled to, Noora continues her exploration of culture and memory, translating destinations into jewellery that carries both narrative and meaning.

Rooted in mythology yet expressed through a contemporary lens, The Nile Collection explores themes of protection, presence and quiet power. At its core lies the form of the cobra, a powerful emblem in ancient Egyptian iconography. Referencing the uraeus, the rearing cobra worn on the crowns of pharaohs, the designs draw on its historic significance as a symbol of protection, awareness, and authority. More than decorative, the uraeus represented presence and vigilance, an influence that is reinterpreted throughout the collection in sculptural 18k gold forms.

Pieces such as Uraeus, Uraeus of the Nile and Wadjet translate the cobra’s fluid curvature into refined, wearable silhouettes. Each design is shaped with precision, balancing structure with movement, allowing the forms to feel both intentional and effortless on the body.
Alongside the cobra motif, the collection also draws from the natural rhythm of the Nile itself. The ancient Egyptian word Iteru, meaning river, inspires pieces that echo the flow and continuity of water through pavé diamond settings. These subtle details introduce a sense of movement and light, enhancing each piece with a quiet sense of fluidity.

Crafted in 18k gold and set with diamonds, The Nile Collection is designed to be worn both
individually and layered, offering versatility while maintaining a strong visual identity. Each
piece carries a distinct presence, yet remains part of a cohesive narrative shaped by history, symbolism, and place.

With The Nile Collection, Noora Shawqi continues her journey of translating travel into form,
creating jewellery that moves between worlds, where heritage, memory and personal expression are captured in designs that feel both timeless and deeply considered.
